Hayley orrantia was born in America. She is primarily an actress, but she's also a songwriter and singer. One of her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' an American comedy show. However, she's primarily musician. At the age of 9 of age, she began exploring music. As she grew to the age of 12, the music she was playing took on a serious nature and she started training professionally. She began songwriting when she was 13, and she was just 14 when she recorded her first collection of cover songs. From that moment on, she has never looked back. Orrantia was born in the USA, yet has Hispanic origins. Though she's never was a Spanish speaker in Mexico, she still feels extremely proud of her Hispanic roots. Her aim is to preserve it by creating Spanish songs, and also taking classes in the language. A song she has created is called 'Hasta Verte,' which she composed in Spanish. Orrantia was a contestant on The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. The Orrantia's YouTube video was selected and she received four "yeses" (or votes), from the judges at the Seattle audition. Her initial audition was for "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. But, three other women singers and she were put together to audition the rest of her songs. The live shows were held in the 5th week.
