Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her mother, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese heritage, while her father, Winston Barrett Munn, is from a family with long-standing roots in the American South. Olivia's parents separated at the age of two. She grew up with her mother who was with the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. Olivia was primarily raised in Tokyo within Japan. Although her family was relocated from Oklahoma to various other locations however, it was the city of Tokyo where she got the majority of her education. When she was in Japan, she was an actor in local shows and eventually became an Japanese modeling model. Olivia relocated to Los Angeles after the family's relocation back to the United States. She pursued her dream of being an actor. In the end, she was able to land a couple of minor roles on TV series that featured Hawaii lense (such such as Beyond the Break), she won the role Mily Acuna, and was offered the job of Rob Schneider's receptionist on Big Stan. Also, she has an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. The year 2000 was as she was two years old of age, her mom was married again. Although the family moved around a often, the mother of her child raised her primarily in Tokyo in Japan, where she stayed within the military. The University of Oklahoma is where she studied journalism with minors in Japanese as well as drama and dramatic arts.
